As chiropractors we believe in preventative care. When you have reached the point in your treatment plan where you have achieved the goals that you set out initially – usually calmed down the pain and returned to activities that you love. Supportive care is the phase when we can aim to maintain health for long-term stability. This is where you are in better balance, have better function and both your body and your mind are stronger. You have robust coping strategies and are resilient to stresses on your system We love it when our patients reach this stage, as it is a journey they have taken and given commitment to their own health and wellbeing.
In this phase you should be actively progressing the exercises that were given to you in the amber phase and looking to return to any sporting and leisure activities that you may have set aside when you injured yourself.
